KATSEYE's Sophia Set to Return in January 2027

HYBE x Geffen confirmed that KATSEYE member Sophia will resume group activities starting the first week of January 2027. The statement came out on October 9, and it sets a date for a break that began back in August.

Sophia stepped away in August to focus on her mental health and wellness. She sat out the European leg of KATSEYE’s “THE WILDWORLD TOUR” during that time. The new statement says she will also skip the North American leg of the tour and any promotional work for the rest of 2026. So the group keeps going without her this year, and the full lineup comes back in 2027.

The update is short and doesn’t say much more. There are no new tour dates, no comeback plans and no details on what the group does first when she returns. The key line is that Sophia has been prioritizing her health “with our full support and resources.” That’s the part that answers the question most fans were asking.

The team also thanked EYEKONS, the fans, for the love and understanding they’ve shown Sophia and KATSEYE. Fans will probably quote that line the most. For now, the one thing on the calendar is January. Anything else will have to wait for the next announcement.
